Fixed-scope software and AI solutions. Decide with something in your hands.
Each of these starts as one packaged piece of work: four named deliverables, a scope agreed before kickoff, and a decision at the end. Pick the problem in front of you and start there.

01Overview
A first step, not a commitment to a build
A solution is a single fixed-scope piece of work with four deliverables named up front and a decision at the end: build, fix, or stop. That is what separates it from a service, which is a capability we staff for as long as you need it, and it is the front door to one: the same people carry the first step into the build, so nothing is rediscovered between them. Some stay a very long time: WaiverKing came to us after a prior vendor disbanded, and the platform has run on our team since 2014. Where the constraints come from the regulator rather than the roadmap, start from the vertical instead: fintech, healthcare and logistics and transportation each change what a readiness answer has to cover.
- A solutionOne agreed scope, one set of deliverables, one end. You use it to decide whether to build, fix, or stop. Start here if the decision is what you are missing.
- A serviceAn ongoing capability, staffed for as long as you need it: custom development, AI engineering, QA, dedicated teams. Browse the services.
- Which one you needIf you can already name the thing you want built, you want a service. If the honest answer is that you are not sure it should be built at all, or not sure what it would cost, start with a solution and buy the answer first.
02Where to start
Start from the problem, not the technology
Four situations bring people to this page. Each one has an offer that answers it, and a longer engagement it leads into if the answer says keep going.

03The offers
Six ways to start small and prove it before you scale
Every offer states the same four things up front: how long it takes, what you walk away holding, what we need from you, and how it is priced. Three of the six publish a fixed window; the other three set the timeframe at scoping, because the scope is what decides it.
AI Readiness Assessment
Two weeksA written read on what to keep, rebuild, or remove to make your systems AI-ready, and what the first build will cost.
- Start here when
- You are being asked what AI will do for the business and need an answer you can defend.
- You leave with
- A keep, rebuild, or remove map, plus a costed plan for the first build.
- From you
- Read access to code, data and documentation
A working voice or call-intelligence pilot on your own data in 30 days, built on the pattern that powers Snaplore and Talkmetry.
- Start here when
- Your calls, tickets, or meetings hold value that nobody can search or act on today.
- You leave with
- A working pilot on your own data, with an honest accuracy read against it.
- From you
- A sample of real conversations, and a technical contact
Security and Compliance Readiness Sprint
Agreed at scopingA fixed-scope review against the standards your buyers require, from ISO 27001 practices to enterprise security-review readiness.
- Start here when
- An enterprise buyer, an auditor, or a security questionnaire is holding up a deal.
- You leave with
- A written report and a remediation roadmap ranked by what unblocks your next deal.
- From you
- The product and the standards in scope
Cloud Cost and AI-Readiness Audit
Agreed at scopingA fixed-scope audit of your cloud spend and AI readiness, with a prioritized plan to cut waste and prepare for AI workloads.
- Start here when
- Your cloud bill is growing faster than usage, or AI workloads are about to land on it.
- You leave with
- A cost teardown against your actual bill, and a prioritized savings plan.
- From you
- Read access to your cloud billing and architecture
Legacy Software Rescue
Agreed at scopingA software project rescue: a stalled or failing project stabilized by a senior team that has taken over where other vendors gave up.
- Start here when
- Releases have stopped, the previous team is gone, or nobody will touch the deploy.
- You leave with
- A legacy code audit, an honest read on what is salvageable, and a working release.
- From you
- The codebase you inherited, and its history
MVP in 6 Weeks
Six weeksA working, usable first version of your product in six weeks, so you can put it in front of real users and learn fast.
- Start here when
- You need real user feedback before committing budget to a full build.
- You leave with
- A working, usable first version in front of real users, on a fixed end date.
- From you
- Product decisions, and access to real users
A fixed-scope step is the wrong purchase in three situations, and it is cheaper to hear it here. If you already know what you are building and simply need more hands, an assessment answers a question you have already answered: what you want is a dedicated team. If the blocker is a decision only your own people can make, no audit we run will make it for you. And if what you need is an accredited certification audit rather than readiness for one, you need an accredited certification body: we hold ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015, we do not issue them.
04Compared
All six, side by side

05How they work
How these engagements work, whichever one you pick
The same four things hold across the set. They are the reason a fixed-scope first step is a smaller decision than it looks.
- Agreed in writing before it startsThe scope and the deliverables are agreed in writing before work begins, so there are no open-ended discovery hours and nothing renegotiated halfway through.2 to 4 weekstypical wait between signing and kickoff
- A small, front-loaded ask on your sideAgreeing what is in scope, arranging access, and putting the people who know the system in front of us for short conversations. Most of it lands in the first week.4 to 10hours of your team's time, in total
- What it produces is yoursWhatever an offer produces (a written assessment, a working pilot, or a live release) is yours to act on however you like, including with your own team or another vendor. Nothing about it is contingent on continuing with us.4deliverables on every offer, named before you commit
- NDA before any accessFor the assessments and audits we work from read-only, least-privilege access, agreed with your technical contact before anything starts.ISO 27001the security practice your access runs under, audited by Quay Audit UK
06How it runs
From the first call to the deliverable
Four stages on every offer, whichever one you pick. The scoping call is the only one that happens before you decide anything.
- A 30-minute scoping callA senior engineer, not a salesperson, works out which offer answers your question. If none of them does, they say so and tell you what would. You getthe right offer named, and its scope and timeframe in writing.
- Kickoff and accessYou tell us which systems are in scope and put the people who know them in front of us. We sign the NDA and agree the access with your technical contact before anything starts. You geta signed NDA and an agreed, written list of what is in scope.
- The work, then your prioritiesFive of the six read what is actually there rather than what the documentation says. MVP in 6 Weeks has nothing to read yet, so this stage cuts the first version to the one job it has to do. Either way you make the priority calls, and the order of work follows them. You getthe order to work in, agreed with you and not assumed.
- Readout and decisionA working session to walk through what we found and what we built, and a costed next step you are free to take to any team. You getthe deliverables, and a decision you can defend internally.
Most of the stalled work we take over is not a technology problem. It is that the previous team left no working build pipeline and nobody is willing to deploy. The first thing we do is make a release possible again, because until you can ship, nothing the audit concludes matters.

What work of this shape has produced
A cloud bill cut by 30% or more, a release cycle that went from weeks to a couple of hours, and a search success rate lifted roughly 9% in a controlled experiment. Three published engagements, each carrying the figure its own case study publishes, and each of the three numbers reached a different way: the AWS saving is the client's, and Patrick W. puts it at 30% or more in the review below; the release-time drop is our own record on a platform we have run since 2014.

10Questions
Questions buyers ask before they pick one
Scope, price, your time, and what happens when the honest answer is no.
One packaged engagement with four named deliverables and a defined end, agreed in writing before the work starts. It exists so you can get a decision, a working pilot or a passed review without first committing to a multi-month build.
It is also why the AI offers here are fixed-scope: an assessment or a 30-day pilot answers a question, and a question can be scoped where open-ended research cannot. Whatever it produces is yours to act on, with your own team or another vendor if you prefer.
A service is a capability we staff for as long as you need it: custom software development, AI engineering, QA, dedicated teams. A solution is one fixed-scope instance of that capability, with defined deliverables and an end date. A solution is designed as the front door: buy the answer first, then continue with a service engagement for the build.
It depends on the offer and on how much is in scope, and we confirm the figure on the scoping call once we know. What is fixed is that there are no open-ended discovery hours: the scope and the deliverables are agreed in writing before work starts.
We do not publish project price bands: a band that fits every environment fits none of them. We bill three ways across all our work:
- time and materials, billed hourly and quoted per project
- fixed price, outcome based and quoted per project
- team extension, billed monthly per team member
Between four and ten hours of your team's time in total, depending on the offer. Most of it is front-loaded: agreeing what is in scope, arranging access, and putting the people who know the system in front of us for short conversations.
Three of the six publish a fixed window: the AI Readiness Assessment runs two weeks from kickoff to readout, the Conversation Intelligence Pilot thirty days, and MVP in 6 Weeks six.
The other three set the timeframe at scoping, because the scope is what decides it: a security review of one product against one buyer questionnaire is short, and the same review across several environments and regulations is not. You get the duration in writing before you commit, not midway. Separately, most engagements start within two to four weeks of signature.
For the assessments and audits, no. We read: the code, the documentation, the cloud billing and architecture, and for the conversation pilot a sample of real calls or meetings. Nothing is written back to your production systems and no integration is built during them.
The three that build are different. What the pilot and the MVP connect to is agreed as part of the scope before work starts. A rescue goes further still, because getting a stalled project shipping again means working inside the systems that run it, which is scoped and agreed separately in writing.
Where an assessment finds that the integration surface is the blocker, saying so is the deliverable.
NDA before any access. For the assessments and audits we work from read-only, least-privilege access, agreed with your technical contact before anything starts. A rescue or a build engagement is different by nature and its access is scoped separately, in writing.
Everything it produced is yours to act on however you like, including with your own team or another vendor. If you continue with unicrew, the scope and the costed next step you already have become the starting point for the build, so no discovery work is repeated.
Pick by the problem in front of you rather than by the technology.
- If you need to know whether AI will pay off, start with the AI Readiness Assessment.
- If you need something users can touch, start with MVP in 6 Weeks or the 30-Day Conversation Intelligence Pilot.
- If something already in production is stalled, fragile or expensive, start with the Legacy Software Rescue or the Cloud Cost and AI-Readiness Audit.
- If a buyer or an auditor is blocking a deal, start with the Security and Compliance Readiness Sprint.
That is a valid outcome, and it is cheaper to learn in two weeks than in two quarters. Where the blocker is data quality, architecture or access rather than ambition, the deliverable says so plainly and becomes a sequenced plan: what to fix, in what order, and what it unlocks.

The verticals we build in, and the constraints each one puts on the architecture.
The stack our engineers ship in production, and when we would tell you to pick something else.

Not sure which one fits?
Tell us the problem in front of you. A senior engineer picks the offer that answers it and quotes the scope in writing, or says plainly if a fuller engagement is the honest answer instead. Typical first reply is one business day.
