Middle General Test Engineer (location EU)

  • We are looking for a Middle QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience who is comfortable working with test documentation and actively contributes to product quality. This role is ideal for a proactive specialist who wants to grow toward test automation while being involved in the broader delivery process.

    You will work closely with developers, product owners, and clients, contributing not only to testing but also to improving requirements quality and delivery processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform manual testing of web and backend applications

    • Create and maintain test documentation (test cases, checklists, test plans, bug reports)

    • Participate in requirements analysis, clarifying business and technical expectations

    • Collaborate with developers, BAs, and PMs during the development lifecycle

    • Work with test management systems (e.g., AIO, Xray, Zephyr, or similar)

    • Track, report, and verify defects

    • Proactively suggest improvements to testing and delivery processes

    • Gradually learn and start contributing to test automation (with support from the team)

    Required Skills & Experience

    • 2+ years of experience in manual QA / software testing

    • Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals

    • Experience creating structured test documentation

    • Strong knowledge of test design techniques with a focus on business use cases

    • Basic understanding of business analysis and project delivery processes

    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

    • Familiarity with test management tools

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills

    • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn test automation

    Nice to Have

    • Knowledge of any test automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, etc.)

    • Basic programming or scripting skills (JavaScript)

    • Experience in finance/fintech projects

    • Experience with API testing (Postman, REST concepts)

    • Understanding of CI/CD concepts

    • ISTQB Certification
