Senior Frontend Engineer (Energy Industry)

  • Our client is a young company in the new energy industry. They support customers, such as energy suppliers, municipal utilities, and tenant electricity projects, in managing their work processes.They also offer companies consulting on the challenges of the energy transition and continuously develop their own software for various players in the energy market.
    As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing Energy Platform so that users enjoy and use it effectively. The tools for this are React and Typescript. You will work closely with designers on the one hand and the backend on the other to ensure a seamless user experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Frontend Development: Development and maintenance of user-friendly frontend applications using React and TypeScript
    • UI/UX Design: Collaborating with designers to create engaging and intuitive user interfaces
    • Component development: Creating reusable and modular components for the application
    • Code quality: Ensuring code quality by implementing best practices and conducting code reviews
    • Performance optimization: Analyze and optimize application performance for a smooth user experience
    • Collaboration: Close collaboration with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend systems
    • Documentation: Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for the developed frontend components

    What should you bring with you?

    • You have a degree in computer science or comparable technical training
    • or alternatively equivalent professional experience as a career changer in the energy sector
    • Programming languages: Solid knowledge of React and TypeScript
    • UI/UX understanding: Experience in designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces
    • Modularity: Ability to develop reusable and modular front-end components
    • Code quality: Experience in applying best practices to ensure code quality
    • Knowledge of the energy industry (EDIFACT, market communication)
    • Communication skills: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with design and backend teams
    • Detail orientation: Results-oriented work style with an eye for detail and quality
